Rainbow Day Nurseries has been established for over 20 years, priding ourselves in providing high quality, stimulating, sustainable and natural environments for children aged 4 months – 5 years. While dedicating ourselves to raising the standard in Early Years.

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and caring nursery assistants to work across our settings, as lunch cover. Our Nursery lunch cover staff will be expected to work as a part of our friendly team. You will assist in providing a stimulating inclusive environment for all, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times, including meal times.

Our safeguarding system is underpinned by a range of policies and procedures which encourage and promote safe working practice across the organisation. We make sure that all our staff are trained and supervised to a high standard so they can provide safe, effective practice.

Skills and Knowledge

  • To assist with setting up and clearing up before and after meals
  • To  support children’s learning both indoor and outdoor.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, sharing experience and knowledge.
  • Provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS and experience of working with children within the early years.

Requirements

  • Some knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • An enthusiastic, positive and proactive attitude to work.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in partnership with parents.
  • Comply with all Rainbow Day Nurseries’ policies and procedures.
  • To participate in training and other learning activities/meetings as required.
  • Hold an appropriate first aid qualification or be willing to undertake one.
