Forest School Educator , qualified Level 3

We are recruiting for an skilled and experienced Nursery Educator to work in our Forest School. If you enjoy being outside what better way to spend your days than amongst the trees in the fresh air whilst helping children with their learning, hunting for bugs, jumping in puddles and setting up wonderful learning spaces. This is a  great opportunity for a new challenge. The Forest School operates from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Skills and knowledge

  • Ability to provide and maintain a high quality, stimulating outdoor learning environment,
  • To plan and prepare purposeful learning opportunities using a range of creative approaches which foster curiosity.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, sharing experience and communicating effectively.
  • Provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
  • A love for the natural world and willingness to spend most of your day outside (9am – 4pm).
  • An understanding of the EYFS and experience working with children within the early years.

Requirements

  • A Level 3 full and relevant qualification in Early Years Childcare.
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • A secure understanding of the EYFS and development matters.
  • An enthusiastic, positive and proactive attitude to work.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in partnership with parents.
  • Comply with all Rainbow Day Nurseries’ policies and procedures.
  • To participate in training and other learning activities/meetings as required.
  • Hold an appropriate first aid qualification or be willing to undertake one.
